Rear left · Meet 14:00 SAST at the gate Atlantis Dunes entrance, Dassenberg Road. Convoy in at 14:30, radios on channel 16.
Rear right · The route ±18 km of soft sand, grade 2–3 Warm-up bowls, the long ridge, then up the big dune. First-timers welcome.
Front right · Pack Recovery kit, compressor & a whip flag And a cooler. The full list is in the invitation.

Atlantis Dunes Sundowner Run

Hosted by Brenton. An afternoon of white sand and low range on the West Coast, then a skottel braai and sundowners on top of the big dune while the sun drops into the Atlantic.

Date: 23 January 2027Saturday
Meet: 14:00 SASTPressure check at the gate at 14:00, convoy onto the sand at 14:30. Radios on channel 16.
Meeting point: Atlantis DunesAt the Atlantis Dunes entrance on Dassenberg Road, Atlantis, West Coast
Route: Warm-up bowls, the long ridge, then up the big dune±18 km of soft sand · off the sand by 21:00
Difficulty: Grade 2–3Soft sand, steep faces and one long climb. First-timers welcome: we’ll spot you up and over.
Vehicle: High-clearance 4x4 with low rangeDecent all-terrains and recovery points front and back. Not one for AWD crossovers.
Tyres: 1.2 bar on the sandWe air down together at the gate and pump back up before the tar. Bring a compressor if you have one; there’ll be spares.
Permit & kitty: Day permit + R100 a headPermit bought per vehicle at the entrance. The R100 goes into the kitty for wors, rolls and ice.

Tyre deflator & a pressure gauge
Compressor (or a mate with one)
Snatch strap, soft shackles & sand tracks
Whip flag with an orange pennant
Two-way radio, channel 16
Full tank & 10 L of water
Cooler, camp chair & a warm top for sundown
