  4. Bring · gap jump Your bike, a helmet & water No helmet, no ride. A spare tube and a pump if you’ve got them.
  5. Wear · the drop Riding kit & gloves Freezing at seven, properly warm by ten. A windbreaker for the top.

At the trailhead

  • Two loops: blue for cruisers, red for senders
  • A track pump and a toolbox on the bakkie
  • Spare tubes, plugs and a chain tool
  • Coffee on the tailgate at the finish
  • Roosterkoek with butter & apricot jam
  • A first-aid kit we hope stays shut

Nobody gets dropped. We regroup at the top of every climb.
