Still green.
The sap is wet. He came through here not long ago.
03 — A dropped feather
Guineafowl.
The bush is waking up. Keep your voice down.
04 — Wag‑’n‑bietjie
He went round it,
not through it.
Wait-a-bit thorn. A clever animal. Follow his lead.
05 — Termite mound, low sun
Sun’s up
behind the mound.
Wind in your face. The tracks turn for the clearing.

Outdoor Weekend 2026
Three days in the Waterberg: first-light walks on fresh spoor, plains game with a good PH, and long evenings round the fire. Bring your boots, leave the office.

What to bring
- Earth-tone clothing, nothing white
- Broken-in boots

- Your rifle and licence, or ask about the lodge’s
Licences, trackers and the professional hunter are arranged. Non-hunters are welcome on every walk.
